Job summary

Eagle Analytical is seeking a Supervisor for Analytical Chemistry focused on raw material testing. You will lead a team, oversee routine and non-routine analyses, and ensure timely, compliant results within a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.

The role requires 3–4 years of pharma-analytical experience, hands-on use of HPLC/GC/FTIR, and a strong grasp of cGMP, data integrity, and SOP development. On-site position in a regulated lab.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Analytical Chemistry or a closely related field; related experience in pharma is expected.
• 3–4 years of hands-on analytical chemistry laboratory experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Experience with compendial monograph procedures and raw material testing.
• Strong understanding of instrumental analysis and laboratory workflows; ability to interpret data and lead investigations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and schedule routine and non-routine analytical testing of raw material samples, ensuring timely completion and compliance.
• Review test results for accuracy and regulatory compliance; lead investigations for out-of-spec results.
• Supervise maintenance and calibration of analytical equipment (HPLC, GC, FTIR, UV-Vis, TOC, wet chemistry) and coordinate maintenance activities.
• Maintain SOPs and documentation for raw material testing in line with cGMP and data integrity requirements.
• Provide cross-training and backup coverage to ensure uninterrupted laboratory operations.
• Stay current with advances in analytical techniques and regulatory expectations for pharmaceutical testing.
