Job summary

PGH Wong Engineering, Inc. seeks a Quality Oversight Engineer to lead QA/QC for major rail transit projects. You will develop QA plans, implement approval workflows, and mentor team members while ensuring contract compliance and field support.

The role requires strong communication, team leadership, and a solid engineering background with experience in Design-Build environments. California PE preferred; Lean Six Sigma appreciated.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in construction management of rail transit systems or roadway/highway projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• P.E. in the State of California preferred.
• Lean Six Sigma (preferred).
• Experience and/or training in standard audit process preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Quality Oversight Engineer for the project and construction management of major rail transit projects.
• Analyze, evaluate, and plan methods of approach and organize means to achieve QA/QC solutions.
• Develop and implement a Quality Management System and QA Plan with audit schedules and checklists.
• Coordinate Team Training and review Contractor’s Quality Manual.
• Support field QA/QC, safety certification documentation, and RFIs/submittals review.
