Job summary

Parsons seeks a Field Engineer for Rail and Transit projects in New York, Queens. You will perform field engineering duties, monitor contractor performance, and ensure construction aligns with plans and standards. The role requires travel and shift flexibility on occasion.

The position emphasizes environmental compliance, documentation, and coordination of design reviews, RFIs, and NCRs. Strong CAD and Office skills are essential; Amtrak experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction-related field or equivalent experience.
• 5–7+ years field construction experience is required.
• 10+ years of related experience in heavy construction projects.
• Experience on large civil/structural/industrial projects at domestic/foreign locations preferred.
• Strong knowledge of engineering/construction processes and industry practices.

Responsibilities

• Oversee project construction to ensure alignment with approved documents.
• Ensure environmental compliance during construction.
• Maintain up‑to‑date information and documentation for field work.
• Record non-conformances and update NCR log.
• Coordinate design/as-built reviews, RFIs, NCRs and related documentation.
