Job summary

Hitachi Rail is seeking a Senior Project Planner to join our Pittsburgh-based team. You will drive construction and commissioning plans, partner with leaders and subcontractors, and deliver timely performance reports to the Project Manager.

The role requires strong scheduling, risk assessment, and communication skills in a fast-paced environment. Based in Pittsburgh, PA, you will coordinate with multiple stakeholders, manage dependencies and critical paths, and ensure adherence to contract

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of project management and project planning experience.
• Proficiency with Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
• Ability to understand and analyze dependency logic and project critical path.

Responsibilities

• Plan the construction and commissioning work on a day-by-day basis.
• Work with leaders and third parties to produce detailed project activity plans.
• Assist Project Manager with project control reports and variation reports.
• Attend meetings with customers and subcontractors to discuss scheduling and issues.
• Monitor work to ensure compliance with contract requirements and schedule.
• Participate in Change Order Management and other duties as directed.
