Job Overview: Under the direction of the Radiologist and the supervision of the manager or supervisor, lead radiologic technologist is responsible for the daily distribution of resources and facilitating patient throughput, develops and maintains equipment QC; adhering to Ohio Department of Health/QA regulations, with the radiologists develops, and implements new procedures including training staff as needed. Maintains department exam quality through regular review of exam quality, competency evaluations of team, feedback and interaction with physicians. Performs competency evaluations of technical personnel. Works effectively with patients and families to provide patient care, maintaining a cooperative relationship with interdepartmental team members, and complies with infection prevention procedures. The lead technologist also performs the duties of a radiologic technologist and senior radiologic technologist as required and must meet all licensing requirements and demonstrates ongoing proficiency in required skills.
