Job Summary
Responsibilities & Requirements

The Lead Radiology Technologist will be a competent individual capable of performing with a minimum of supervision and using independent judgment. He/She must possess the ability to step in as supervisor when the direct supervisor is unavailable. He/she must possess the ability to work on several different types of equipment, so that all work is completed in a timely, competent, and efficient manner. Technologists in this classification must function well together as a team and may be required to train both graduate and student technologists. He/she will be working in a medical environment with much interaction with patients, fellow workers, physicians, and visitors. The technologist will be responsible for all segments of patient populations, including infants, children, adults, and geriatric patients. The Lead XR technologist is required to manage the day to day workflow and ensure adequate staffing for the department volumes. There will be times that he/she will be asked to schedule staff/make scheduling modifications in the absence of the supervisor. Performs other duties as assigned and helps in other areas during low volume periods.

Essential Functions
  • Holds self and others accountable for safety by ensuring appropriate procedures and guidelines are followed.
  • Responsive to coaching and feedback for improvement; demonstrates continued progress by improving competencies, skill development and applying learning.
  • Demonstrates appropriate judgment and thinking skills for situations.
  • Has attended (or reviewed via HealthStream) a minimum of three Town Hall meetings.

Preferred Qualifications
Job Requirements
Minimum Education
  • Associate’s degree/bachelor’s degree preferred
Minimum Work Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of Health Care experience, Radiology experience preferred.
Required Licenses [Ohio, United States]
  • Registered as a Radiologic Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
  • Must possess a valid Ohio License as a Radiographer.
  • Certified BLS CPR.
Required Skills
  • Ability to deal tactfully and professionally with physicians, patients, and coworkers.
  • Possess leadership abilities including staff utilization and effective delegation as well as organizational and interpersonal communication skills.
