Job summary

Leonardo DRS in Germantown, MD is seeking a Test Engineer III to independently design, develop, and execute test programs for radar hardware and software. You will take full ownership of assigned test activities and mentor junior staff as you grow toward technical leadership.

This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, 5+ years of relevant experience, and the ability to work autonomously with strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field is required.
• 5+ years of engineering/test experience.
• Strong technical expertise and domain knowledge.
• Ability to work independently and guide junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute test programs for radar hardware and software.
• Document test procedures and verify performance against specs.
• Debug test hardware/software and resolve issues to keep schedules.
• Provide budget, cost, and schedule input for test assignments.
• Mentor less-experienced engineers and collaborate across teams.
