Leonardo DRS RADA Technologies in Germantown, MD, seeks a Senior Software Systems Engineer to bridge systems and software engineering, manage configurations, and drive interfaces for radar product software. The role requires leading technical work and collaboration across software, systems, hardware, integration, and test teams.

The candidate should have a hardware/software integration background, U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain a DoD clearance, and 5+ years in systems engineering

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field; 5+ years systems engineering experience.
• Experience with git version control.
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting in integrated/system-level software.
• Ability to work independently and across software, systems, hardware, integration, and test teams.
• Broad systems engineering experience including requirements management, functional requirements parsing, derivation, and allocation; V&V.
• Experience developing system engineering artifacts (e.g. ICDs, Use Cases, System Architecture Descriptions, Trade Studies).
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain DoD clearance.

Responsabilidades

• Define user needs, architectures, and product requirements.
• Utilize Model-Based Systems Engineering tools (e.g., Cameo) to capture artifacts.
• Maintain and track system and product configurations for compatibility.
• Independently evaluate, test, and verify software against requirements; document results.
• Collaborate with software, systems, hardware, integration, and test teams to understand system behavior.
• Participate in code reviews, configuration management, and engineering process improvements.
• Lead assigned technical work and provide guidance to other engineers.
