Job summary

YQuantum, a Swiss quantum hardware startup, seeks a Senior Production Technician to lead the production line for next-generation microwave components in Zurich.

You will work with engineering and fabrication to transition from product development to manufacturing, overseeing planning, quality control, and continuous improvement. A strong, hands-on mindset and ownership are required to drive high-quality output.

Qualifications

• BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related field.
• 5+ years in production/assembly of electrical or electronic components.
• Experience leading production lines and driving quality/improvement.
• Hands-on, ownership mindset with proactive problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Build, scale, and lead the production line for microwave components.
• Collaborate with engineering and fabrication to transition from development to manufacturing.
• Oversee production planning, documentation, quality control, and continuous improvement.
• Monitor yield, throughput, and product quality to optimize performance.
• Create, maintain SOPs and best practices for scalable manufacturing.
• Troubleshoot production issues and drive corrective actions.
