Job summary

Qrypt, based in Maryland, is hiring a Manufacturing Operations Manager to own how our quantum hardware is built, sourced, and shipped. You will manage contract manufacturers, production schedules, and long-lead inventory, coordinating internal builds to bring Quantum Entropy Appliances to customers.

As we scale, you will drive NPI through ramp to volume production, partner with hardware engineering on manufacturability, and establish repeatable processes and quality practices to ensure on-time

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain, or related field, or equivalent.
• 8+ years in manufacturing ops or supply chain with contract-manufacturer ownership.
• Hands-on electronics hardware fabrication (PCBAs, boards).
• Proven track record managing production schedules, inventory and suppliers.
• Experience taking hardware through NPI to volume production.
• Strong purchasing, forecasting, and BOM management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Willingness to travel to CM and supplier sites.
• Familiar with AI and agent-assisted workflows.
• Authorized to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Own the relationship with contract manufacturers and suppliers: quotes, POs, pricing, capacity, quality.
• Build and manage production schedules across CMs and internal team; track builds and report risk.
• Own inventory of critical long-lead components; forecast demand and prevent stockouts.
• Coordinate internal production, packaging, and shipment of finished appliances.
• Drive new product introduction from engineering through first article to ramp.
• Partner with hardware engineering on manufacturability and yield improvements.
• Establish manufacturing processes, documentation, and quality practices for scale.
• Identify and remove risks to delivery dates: component availability and CM capacity.
