Job summary

Jabil is seeking a Lead Quality Technician to oversee quality inspection activities and troubleshoot defects to ensure product and process quality. You will lead a team of Quality Technicians, implement QC plans, and support ISO 9001 compliance across manufacturing operations.

You will collaborate with engineering and production, analyze data, and drive root cause analysis and corrective actions to optimize processes and product quality.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree in a technical field is preferred.
• Minimum 5 years in a manufacturing quality role; at least 2 years in lead/supervisor capacity.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality management systems.
• Proficient with measurement tools and data analysis.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of Quality Technicians, providing guidance and feedback.
• Perform inspections on incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products with measurement tools.
• Identify and troubleshoot defects, implementing corrective actions.
• Collaborate with engineering and production to improve processes.
• Develop and implement QC plans, procedures, and work instructions.
• Conduct internal audits and support external audits for ISO 9001 compliance.
• Analyze quality data, generate reports, and present findings to management.
• Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives (8D, FMEA).
• Train and mentor junior technicians on best practices and quality standards.
