Job summary

United Airlines in Chicago is seeking a Quality Engineering Manager to lead automated testing efforts across multiple projects, guiding on-site and offshore QA teams, and driving quality initiatives with an AI-first approach.

You will partner with application DevOps, shape CI/CD pipelines, and advance test strategies across agile environments, with travel up to 10% and a focus on performance, end-to-end and non-functional testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer science, Information technology or similar.
• 3+ years of Quality Engineering experience with managing large enterprise programs.
• 3+ years implementing a Test Automation framework.
• 3+ years automation scripting with Selenium or Playwright.
• 3+ years experience in release automation (CI/CD) and performance testing.
• 1+ years experience using GenAI & Agents to expedite validation.
• Willing to travel domestically/internationally up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Govern testing across projects with agile, integration, end-to-end and performance tests.
• Lead onsite and offshore Quality Engineering teams and ensure ownership of deliverables.
• Collaborate with application teams and leadership to improve best-in-class quality practices.
• Drive innovations with GenAI capabilities from PoC to implementation across Digital Technology.
• Develop strategies to improve QA practices from pre- to post-deployment.
• Partner with DevOps to build CI/CD pipelines for QA and Production tests.
• Escalate issues to senior management as needed.
