Job summary

OSG is seeking a detail-driven Quality Control Supervisor to lead the QC team on the Mt Airy production floor, ensuring materials meet client specifications and quality standards. You will own inspection documentation, hold/release decisions, and partner with production leadership on corrective actions.

You will supervise QC personnel, including direct reports, and develop your team while maintaining audit-ready records and a safety-first culture.

Qualifications

• Leadership ability to direct, motivate, and hold a team accountable.
• Strong attention to detail for variances in print, color, and content.
• Solid math skills including basic operations in all units.
• Ability to read and enforce work orders, job tickets, and specifications.
• Proficiency with computers and production systems for documentation and reporting; familiarity with PrintStream/JTS is a plus.
• Good judgment and clear communication when escalating issues and making decisions.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• 5+ years in quality control or production, including 3+ years in a lead role.

Responsibilities

• Lead the QC team, schedule, and develop operators to match production priorities.
• Oversee inspection of printed/inset materials ensuring conformance to specs.
• Direct job setup verification and first-piece approvals before runs continue.
• Make hold/rework/release decisions and escalate defects promptly.
• Maintain audit-ready quality records and inspection logs in production systems.
• Lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions with operations for continuous improvement.
• Train and coach QC staff on inspection methods and procedures.
• Promote safety and ensure data privacy when handling client materials.
