Job summary

Owens Corning is seeking a Quality Control Technician to ensure quality in finished products and the production process, while inspecting raw material specifications. The role partners with Production, R&D, Claims and Sales to support product reviews and defect investigations.

Responsibilities include leading quality improvements, performing tests, entering data into QA databases, and assisting with corrective actions.

Qualifications

Quality experience (minimum 1 year)
Manufacturing experience (minimum of 3 years)
Must be a US Citizen
Must be 18 years or older
Must be able to pass a hair drug screen and background check

Responsibilities

Inspect incoming raw materials, in-process materials and finished goods and check for quality and specifications
Ensure equipment is calibrated, validated and maintained properly and ensure safety during operation of equipment
Report unsafe conditions immediately to supervisor
Lead safety practices and contribute to process improvements
Perform product testing and data entry into QA databases
Assist with Claim Investigations and nonconformance handling
