Job summary

Palmetto State Armory in Summerville, SC, seeks a Quality Control Team Lead to oversee in-process and final inspections, drive quality system improvements, and reduce rework through better in-line inspection practices.

The role requires 3+ years in a precision CNC QC environment, strong GD&T knowledge, and proven leadership and communication skills. You will manage calibration programs, train technicians, and ensure safe handling of materials in a climate-controlled plant setting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of quality control in a precision CNC machining environment.
• Strong familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Willing to learn, adaptable and flexible.
• Ability to implement and manage change.
• Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily activities for final and in-process inspections of products for Manufacturing.
• Assist in implementing and improving the quality system and write process documents; train technicians.
• Manage calibration program for hand tools and measurement devices.
• Support MRB process by ensuring accurate nonconforming materials documentation.
• Ensure hand measuring tools are in stock for inspections and new products.
• Communicate priorities and issues to the oncoming shift to prevent bottlenecks.
• Adhere to safety guidelines for handling hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
• Other duties as assigned.
