Job summary

GCG is seeking an experienced Quality Control Manager to lead and continuously improve our quality systems in a high-precision manufacturing environment. The role ensures products meet customer, regulatory, and company standards while driving a culture of continuous improvement across machining, fabrication, assembly, and inspection operations.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field is preferred.
5+ years of quality leadership experience in precision machining, CNC manufacturing, heavy industry, or fabrication.
Strong knowledge of ISO 9001; AS9100 is a plus; experience interpreting drawings and GD&T.

Responsibilities

Lead the Quality Control department, including inspectors and quality technicians.
Maintain and improve the Quality Management System (QMS).
Ensure compliance with customer specifications, industry standards, and internal procedures.
Develop and monitor quality metrics and KPIs.
Oversee incoming, in-process, and final inspections.
Lead CAPA and root cause analysis using structured problem-solving methods.
Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Operations to resolve issues.
Manage customer, supplier, and internal quality audits.
Review drawings, GD&T, inspection plans, and quality docs.
Ensure calibration programs for inspection/measurement equipment.
Drive Lean and Six Sigma continuous improvement initiatives.
Support new product introductions and process validations.
Prepare quality reports for executive leadership.
