Job summary

Palmetto State Armory in Summerville, SC seeks a Quality Team Lead to supervise final and in-process inspections and drive quality system improvements in tight-tolerance CNC production. You will lead technicians, manage calibration programs, and emphasize in-process inspection to reduce rework while ensuring accurate documentation and MRB compatibility.

Ideal candidate has 3+ years in QC, strong GD&T knowledge, and excellent communication; safety, ITAR compliance, and adaptability are essential

Qualifications

• 3+ years of quality control experience in a precision CNC machining environment
• Strong familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and inspection procedures
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Willing to learn, adaptable, and able to manage change
• Experience with calibration programs and measurement tools is a plus
• Must be a US citizen subject to ITAR regulations

Responsibilities

• Manage daily activities for final and in-process inspections of products for Manufacturing
• Assist in implementing and improving the quality system, write process documents, assign tasks, and train Quality Control Technicians
• Assist in managing the calibration program for all hand measuring tools and precision measuring devices
• Confirm fallout from inspections and ensure MRB documentation and engineering drawings are in place
• Ensure necessary inspection tools are in stock for QC Technicians, including new products
• Escalate complex issues to the Quality Control Manager and communicate priorities across shifts
• Adhere to safety guidelines and proper handling of materials (hazardous and non-hazardous)
• All other duties as assigned
