Job summary

Teasdale Latin Foods seeks a Quality Assurance Supervisor to lead the QA/QC team, develop and maintain QA programs, and ensure compliance with regulatory and customer specifications. You will inspect materials, monitor metrics, and drive continuous improvement across production, procurement, and logistics.

The role requires strong leadership, in-depth knowledge of GMP/HACCP, and excellent communication skills to partner with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or related field; master's preferred.
• Experience in QA/QC in a food manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of GMP, HACCP and FDA/USDA regulations.
• Experience with QA testing methods, instrumentation, and lab procedures.
• Leadership and team management of a diverse workforce.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in QA-related software tools.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead the quality control team, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management.
• Develop, implement, and maintain QA programs to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Inspect raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to verify conformance.
• Collaborate with production, procurement, and logistics to address quality issues and root causes.
• Maintain records of QA tests, inspections, and non-conformities; prepare reports for agencies and stakeholders.
• Monitor quality metrics and drive continuous improvement.
• Train staff on QA standards and best practices.
• Stay current with industry trends and regulatory updates.
