As a QA Lead, your primary responsibility is to ensure the quality and reliability of software products. Your analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to communicate effectively are essential for success in this role. Additionally, a background in computer science or a related field is preferred. Overall, you play a critical role in delivering high-quality software that meets customer expectations and contributes to the success of the T2 Systems. Reports to a QA Manager. This job requires 50% of time leading teams and 50% hands-on automation & testing.

Responsibilities

· Lead and coordinate manual and automation testing efforts across multiple products.

· Provide QA input and perspective throughout the entire product-development lifecycle, following the principle of “shifting left”

· Advocate for clear requirements and working with the entire product team to ensure these requirements are being met, and established QA processes are being followed

· Lead and actively contribute to Test Automation, following and improving automation best practices

· Mentor QA Engineers on product knowledge, QA tasks, procedures, automation, and QA best practices

· Collect and communicate QA metrics, status, and escalated needs to the QA Manager

· Estimate complex QA tasks and deliver high-quality results

· Identify and perform non-functional testing for the product under test, including load- & stress-testing

· Deliver test execution and automation according to the provided estimates and scope

· Work with QA Engineers to deliver testing & automation on-time (and as planned), resolve blockers, and communicate them with stakeholders before they escalate

· Create feature test plans, test summary reports, deployment plans, and other documentation to follow the defined QA test strategy

· Promote test automation to reduce time spent manually testing products

· Work with the teams to identify and fix root causes of failed automation tests

· Create QA tests using best practices and test-design techniques

· Coordinate and support product deployments with QA testing

· Ensure defect management procedures are followed on your teams

· Plan regression testing for product releases with the teams, ensuring high-quality software is released to the customers

· Share knowledge and best practices with the QA team

· Identify and communicate cross-product dependencies, working with the teams to ensure that dependencies are acknowledged and worked on

Collaborate on improvements to “Raise the Bar” within the teams, department, and organization!
