Job summary

American Society for Quality is seeking a Lead QA Specialist to join our Quality Assurance team in Chicago, with openness to Peoria, IL. You will lead QA strategy, planning, and automation across multiple projects, and mentor a growing QA team while coordinating with 50+ Scrum teams and cross-functional partners.

You will drive defect management, perform root-cause analyses, and ensure quality across platforms.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of QA experience with a minimum of 3 years in a lead role.
• No formal degree required, but a degree is a plus.
• Expertise in SDLC, Agile, QA and QC practices.
• Proven leadership in cross-functional, fast-paced environments.
• Proficient in AWS, SQL, ADO, Power BI, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead QA strategy, test planning, and automation across multiple projects and releases.
• Identify, reproduce, and drive resolution of defects with root-cause analysis.
• Mentor QA team members and provide guidance on testing best practices.
• Coordinate with product owners and Scrum teams to align requirements and priorities.
• Communicate with stakeholders to ensure quality and reliability of applications.
