Job summary

DSM-H Consulting is seeking a Lead QA Specialist to join the Quality Assurance team in Chicago. You will lead QA strategy, test planning, and automation across multiple projects, coordinating with product owners and cross-functional teams to ensure quality across complex platforms.

Expect to mentor QA staff, drive defect management, and perform root-cause analyses. The role requires 10+ years in software testing with leadership experience; a degree is not required but a plus. On-site in Chicago.

Qualifications

• 10+ years’ experience in QA or software testing.
• Minimum 3 years in a true lead role.
• No degree required but is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead QA strategy, test planning, and automation execution across multiple projects and releases.
• Mentor QA team members and provide technical guidance on testing best practices, standards, and tools.
• Coordinate with product owner to resolve open issues/enhancements/upgrades and understand the use of a specific functionality as needed.
• Perform validation activities of defects and ensure quality across the software products.
• Communicate with end users and internal customers to direct development, debugging, and testing of applications.
