Job summary

Cboe Global Markets is seeking a Lead Engineer, Quality Assurance in New York to own quality across the BIDS platform, including BIDS Trader, core matching engine, and back-end services. You'll lead test strategy, build harnesses, and integrate tests into CI, collaborating with teams in New York and Calgary to ensure reliable releases.

Ideal candidates bring 5–10 years in QA for complex systems, expertise in automated testing tools, and a solid foundation in Java, SQL, Linux, and Docker.

Qualifications

• Five to 10 years of experience in software quality assurance or test engineering for complex, transactional or real-time systems.
• Ability to design and maintain manual and automated test suites, not just execute them.
• Experience owning test strategy and test plans across functional, regression and integration testing in Agile delivery.

Responsibilities

• Validate FIX connectivity and client onboarding flows, testing order entry and reports.
• Define the test approach for new features with development and product.
• Execute functional, regression and end-to-end testing, including performance and resilience.
• Build test harnesses, data and environment tooling to widen coverage.
• Integrate automated suites into CI pipelines and maintain speed and stability.
• Investigate defects to root cause with clear reproduction steps.
• Contribute to release readiness reviews and production verification after deployments.
• Champion continuous improvement in testing practices.
