Job summary

Cboe Global Markets is seeking a Senior QA Automation Test Engineer to shape testing strategy across UI, API, and integration layers. The role emphasizes automation, mentorship, and building robust test frameworks within a high-trust environment.

You will own test coverage, define data strategies, and partner with engineering to ensure scalable, observable quality across distributed systems. Strong Java/Cucumber/Selenium skills are required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in quality assurance with strong automation focus.
• Bachelor’s in CS or related field.
• Hands-on automation with Cucumber, Selenium or Playwright.
• Strong SQL skills and relational databases.
• Ability to lead and mentor junior engineers.
• Experience testing across UI, API and integration layers.
• Design and implement test data and environments.

Responsibilities

• Set quality standards and ensure consistent practices across teams.
• Mentor engineers and raise practice standards.
• Define release confidence criteria including coverage and defect targets.
• Plan test data and environment strategies for reproducibility.
• Influence testability in engineering before coding.
• Design and build automated test frameworks for UI, API and integration.
• Validate end-to-end clearing workflows (trade processing, settlement).
• Ensure data accuracy across distributed systems.
• Embed automated tests into delivery pipelines to catch failures early.
• Own test coverage as a measurable outcome.
