Job Description
Solu is seeking a Lead QA Automation Analyst (Appian) to support an Institutional Services organization, specifically Workflow Solutions, Servicing and Onboarding. This role is responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability and functionality of business applications through hands-on test automation and manual testing.
The ideal candidate has strong experience with Appian, Selenium automation using C#, the Page Object Model, and QA processes throughout the software development lifecycle. This individual will develop and maintain automated tests, document and execute test cases in Zephyr, validate business processes, and collaborate with development and product teams to support high-quality software releases.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, execute and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium with C# and the Page Object Model (POM).
- Perform hands-on manual and automated testing of Appian applications supporting workflow, servicing and onboarding processes.
- Develop and execute test plans, test cases and test scenarios covering functional, regression, end-to-end and integration testing.
- Document test cases, test execution results and defects using JIRA and Zephyr.
- Establish and maintain QA coverage for application functionality, business processes and user requirements.
- Collaborate with developers, product owners and other stakeholders to understand requirements, acceptance criteria and application functionality.
- Identify, document, track and communicate software defects, working with development teams through resolution and retesting.
- Participate in QA planning, test strategy development, sprint activities and release validation.
- Maintain traceability between business requirements, test cases, test execution and reported defects.
- Evaluate testing results, identify coverage gaps and recommend improvements to testing processes and automation efficiency.
- Communicate test progress, results, risks and quality concerns to relevant stakeholders to support release decisions.
- Follow established risk management, regulatory, compliance and internal control standards.
- Support team collaboration, share technical knowledge and assist with QA-related problem resolution.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- At least 10 years of QA and software testing experience.
- Hands-on experience with Appian, including testing applications built on the platform.
- Strong hands-on experience developing and executing Selenium automation using C# and the Page Object Model (POM).
- Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), software testing lifecycle (STLC) and QA methodologies.
- Experience developing test strategies, test plans, test cases and test scenarios.
- Experience performing both manual and automated testing, including functional, regression and end-to-end testing.
- Hands-on experience with JIRA and Zephyr for test case management, test documentation, execution tracking and defect management.
- Ability to analyze business requirements, validate business processes and identify functional gaps or defects.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor's degree required; Computer Science or a related field preferred.
- Ability to work onsite in Wilmington, DE, four days per week.
Preferred Qualifications
- Appian certification.
- Experience in banking, financial services or other regulated environments.
- Experience with API and integration testing.
- Experience testing workflow, servicing, onboarding or other business process-driven applications.
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with test automation frameworks, test coverage reporting and continuous QA process improvement.
- ISTQB certification.
