Job summary

Mimica is hiring senior software engineers to own backend systems and ML integration work in a fully remote, globally distributed team. You will design, build, and scale Python services that interface with ML models, mentor peers, and contribute to the platform’s observability and reliability.

You will collaborate with Data Scientists and ML Engineers, focusing on productionising models, maintaining performance, and driving architectural improvements across multiple teams.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience as a Software Engineer at a senior level
• Strong Python and Backend-Engineering skills
• Experience with async/concurrent programming
• Ownership of projects from design through deployment and monitoring
• Strong ability to build maintainable tests
• Experience with observability and tracing
• Knowledge of performance optimisation and memory management
• Mentoring others in software development practices
• Fluency in English and clear communication

Responsibilities

• Write Python applications that are resilient and well-integrated in a service architecture
• Mentor others to improve Developer Experience and code quality
• Develop observability for ML applications and GenAI/LLM integrations using Grafana Stack
• Build integrations with Google Services
• Collaborate with Data Scientists and ML Engineers through productionisation lifecycle
• Respond to incidents involving CPU, memory, and GPU utilisation
• Document procedures and guides for knowledge sharing
• Participate in hiring and onboarding new team members and manage end-to-end projects
