Job summary

LewisGale Medical Center in Salem, VA is seeking a Psychiatry Residency Associate Program Director to help lead our ACGME residency program. The role balances leadership, education, and clinical responsibilities in a fully accredited four-year psychiatry residency.

The candidate should be board certified (ABPN/AOBNP), with at least three years of post-residency faculty experience in an ACGME psychiatry program. Prior APD experience is a plus, and scholarly activity is highly encouraged.

Qualifications

• Board certification by ABPN or AOBNP is required.
• Minimum three years post-residency as active faculty in an ACGME-accredited psychiatry residency.
• Prior APD experience is a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with strong team-building.
• Scholarly activity (peer reviewed funding, publications, chapters, etc.) encouraged.
• 50% administrative, 50% clinical workload.
