Job summary

LewisGale Regional Health System is seeking a Psychiatry Residency Associate Program Director to lead its ACGME residency program in Salem, VA. The role combines leadership duties with clinical teaching and oversight of the psychiatry residency.

The candidate should be ABPN or AOBNP board-certified, with 3+ years of post-residency faculty experience in an ACGME psychiatry residency and strong interpersonal skills. The program is a four-year, ACGME-accredited residency housed at the Pavilion.

Qualifications

• Board certification by ABPN or AOBNP.
• Minimum of three years post-residency as active faculty in an ACGME psychiatry residency.
• Prior APD experience is a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with strong team building.

Responsibilities

• 50% administrative, 50% clinical workload.
• Lead and advance the Psychiatry Residency Program and its 32 residents.
• Participate in program development and educational activities.
