Job summary

UAB Medicine in Birmingham, AL seeks a Lead Clinician for the REACT Program to provide comprehensive treatment and support to clients with severe mental illness. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, assess needs, and coordinate rehabilitation services under clinical supervision.

The role may involve housing, vocational, or substance-use specialization as assigned by the Team Leader, with responsibilities including quality oversight in the clinician’s absence.

Qualifications

• Master's in Social Work from an accredited program is required.
• Two years' experience as a Social Worker in a mental health setting.
• Must adhere to NASW Code of Ethics.
• Preferred: three years’ experience with at least one year in inpatient/outpatient psychiatric settings.
• Licensed as LMSW or eligible within six months of hire; Alabama driver’s license.
• Preferred: LICSW

Responsibilities

• Provide treatment, rehabilitation, and support services to PACT clients.
• Assess, plan, develop, coordinate, and deliver care under clinical supervision.
• Serve as a lead clinician assisting Team Leader with quality of care oversight during absences.
• Function as a vocational, housing, or substance-use specialist as designated by the Team Leader.
