Job summary

The Pima County Attorney’s Office seeks an Attorney Supervisor in the Violent Crimes Unit to provide legal, strategic, and supervisory guidance to prosecutors handling serious felony cases in Superior Court.

Qualifications

• JD required; six years of relevant prosecution, defense, or civil experience, or one year in Attorney II with Pima County.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead personnel within the unit; provide training, mentoring, and guidance to subordinate staff.
• Oversee prosecuted cases across multiple courts and review legal documents, motions, pleadings, and briefs.
• Develop trial strategies, assist with negotiations, and ensure compliance with rules of professional conduct and PCAO policies.
• Manage attorney caseloads and provide ongoing training and professional development to staff.
• Prepare legal opinions and advise County officials on a variety of legal matters.
