Job summary

Pima County Attorney's Office is seeking an experienced Prosecutor Supervisor to lead the Violent Crimes Unit in Pima County Superior Court. You will oversee attorneys, guide strategy, and ensure compliance with Arizona law and PCAO policies.

The role emphasizes leadership, mentoring, caseload management, jury trial readiness, and high-level felony prosecutions across criminal and civil matters within the county.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate and six (6) years of relevant prosecution, defense, or civil experience.
• OR: One year with Pima County in an Attorney II position.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and leads personnel of a unit within the department and provides training, mentoring, and guidance to subordinate staff.
• Oversees staff attorney activities in prosecution or defense of criminal and/or civil cases in multiple courts.
• Assigns, reviews and evaluates the work of subordinate attorneys and provides recommendations on hiring and disciplinary action.
• Reviews legal documents, motions, pleadings, briefs, and investigative reports; verifies facts.
• Oversees preparation of litigation, depositions, witness notification, and bench and jury trials.
• Oversees staff caseloads and resolutions, including pre-trial, trial, post-trial, and appellate practice.
