Job summary

SNC is seeking a Project Engineer II to manage propulsion subsystem design, integration, and testing within a cross-functional team. The role interfaces with internal groups and external customers to ensure successful project execution.

The candidate will lead technical baselines, oversee test campaigns, and prepare for formal customer reviews while ensuring compliance with program requirements and schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years' experience in engineering roles with at least 2+ years in a leadership role.
• Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
• Thorough knowledge of engineering principles and practice.
• Experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development team.
• Detailed understanding of requirements management, system design, and integration.
• Experience in aerospace propulsion engineering (design, analysis, integration, and testing of missile propulsion systems).
• Ability to obtain and maintain United States secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Direct the technical baseline, design trades, and qualification for the missile propulsion subsystem.
• Manage propulsion supplier technical performance, interface control documents (ICDs), and statements of work (SOWs) for propulsion subcontracts.
• Lead cross-IPT coordination with Aerodynamics, Thermal, GNC, and Airframe disciplines on thrust profiles, inlet integration, internal volume packaging, and thermal boundary conditions.
• Plan and oversee propulsion subsystem test campaigns, including sub-scale testing, static motor hot-fire tests, environmental screening, and range flight test integration.
• Lead propulsion technical baseline at formal customer reviews.
