Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation seeks a Propulsion Systems Project Engineer to lead a multidisciplinary team focused on propulsion systems for National Security Space Launch missions. The role requires coordinating with the PO and ETG teams to deliver mission assurance and on-budget execution, including engagement with Space Force and contractors.

You will oversee certification, testing, and technical direction across Falcon/New Glenn propulsion interfaces, while mentoring engineers and maintaining

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary technical teams and program efforts.
• Knowledge of propulsion systems and mission assurance.

Responsibilities

• Lead analysis, design, development, evaluation, testing, certification, and mission assurance for propulsion systems.
• Manage ETG studies to assure reliability and performance of large engines and propulsion systems.
• Collaborate with program office staff across structures, GNC, avionics, and systems.
• Prepare reports and briefings for senior management and Space Force stakeholders.
• Mentor PO and ETG engineers and coordinate with contractors and government partners.
• Assist with certifying and launching vehicles and maintaining program budgets.
