AKAM seeks an experienced Property Accounting Manager to lead financial reporting for a portfolio of condominiums and cooperatives. You will collaborate with accounting teams and property managers to deliver accurate monthly statements, budgets, audits, and regulatory filings, while presenting insights to boards.

You will ensure GAAP-compliant reporting, coordinate inquiries, and support variance analysis, cash management, and KPI reporting.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field and relevant certifications preferred.
• 8–12+ years of accounting/finance experience in property management, real estate, or co-op/condo operations.
• Strong understanding of NYC co-op/condo financial structures, including maintenance, reserves, and assessments.
• Experience preparing Real Property Income and Expense (RPIE) statements and supporting documentation.

Responsabilités

• Prepare monthly financial statements for all managed properties.
• Review statements for GAAP compliance and local NYC standards.
• Coordinate financial inquiries with property managers, auditors, and internal stakeholders.
• Prepare reserve and operating account reconciliations and supporting schedules.
