AKAM, a NYC-based property management firm, seeks a Financial Analyst to manage accounting and financial reporting for an NYC portfolio of condo and cooperative properties. You will prepare monthly/annual statements, budgets, and cash flow analyses while supporting boards and property managers.

This role involves close collaboration with managers, boards, and auditors to explain results, address inquiries, and ensure accurate financial records across multiple properties.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 2–3 years of public accounting experience.
• 2 years of financial analyst or property accounting in real estate or property management.
• Experience preparing and reviewing monthly financial statements for condo/co-op properties.
• Strong general ledger, reporting, budgeting, variance analysis, and cash flow forecasting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Office applications.
• Clear communication with property managers and boards.
• Experience with BJ Murray or Yardi is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Manage general ledger accounting for an assigned portfolio of condo/co-op properties.
• Prepare and review monthly and annual financial statements with schedules.
• Review ledgers, investigate discrepancies, and post adjustments.
• Prepare budgets and cash flow projections in collaboration with managers and boards.
• Explain financial results and respond to inquiries from managers and boards.
• Support audits by providing schedules and documentation.
• Coordinate investment of client funds per board direction.
