Job summary

The Douglaston Companies in Brooklyn, NY are seeking a Project Superintendent I to guide complex construction projects from planning through turnover. You will supervise a broad team, coordinate on-site activities, and ensure adherence to plans, codes, and quality controls in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Licensed NYC DOB as a Superintendent is required.
• 6–10 years of project superintendent experience.
• Thorough knowledge of construction trades and wage requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret safety plans and operating instructions.
• Ability to safely navigate a construction site and manage conditions.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely completion and conformance with plans, specifications, and local codes.
• Schedule subs, consultants, and vendors on the critical path.
• Perform quality control and enforce QC programs.
• Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions.
• Maintain daily log of activities using company project software.
• Lead weekly subcontractor meetings and issue notices of non-compliance.
• Prepare daily progress reports and manage on-site resources.
