Job summary

SLS is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead self-performing crews on heavy civil housing projects across the United States. You will ensure on-time, on-budget delivery with the highest quality, reporting to the Project Manager and interfacing with Client representatives.

You will manage schedules, enforce quality control, coordinate inspections, and lead weekly meetings. A NYC DOB license and at least 5 years in civil/site/concrete work are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction-related discipline.
• NYC DOB Licensed Superintendent.
• SST and OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety and Health card.
• Minimum of 5 years of Project Superintendent experience.
• 5+ years experience in Civil, Site, and Concrete work preferred.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal construction regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret site safety plans and other documents.

Responsibilities

• Manage self-performing crews to deliver the project safely, on time, and on budget.
• Schedule subcontractors, consultants, and vendors on the critical path to ensure timely completion.
• Establish and enforce site quality control programs.
• Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions.
• Lead weekly toolbox talks and subcontractor meetings.
• Prepare daily project logs and reports for documentation.
• Review drawings for design intent and resolve conflicts.
• Ensure turnover and post-occupancy repair work is completed.
