Job summary

Clark Construction Group, LLC in the San Diego area seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead day-to-day management, develop detailed plans, and drive successful project outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

You will manage contracts, risk, safety, and stakeholder communications, mentor teams, and contribute to proposals. This role requires strong leadership, engineering/CM background, and a track record of delivering large-scale construction projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or related field.
• 7+ years of construction experience, ideally with a general contractor on large-scale projects.
• 4+ years leading, developing, and motivating teams.
• Understanding of strategic, operational, and financial components of a construction project.
• Ability to make timely and effective decisions.
• Experience managing projects from start to finish.
• Strong client/owner and trade contractor relationship skills.
• Proven leadership in fast-paced environments aligned to Clark standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead all activities related to contract administration, change orders, procurement, schedule, and financial reporting.
• Know contracts and ensure understanding of all parties involved.
• Secure permits and verify insurance for subcontractors.
• Facilitate project meetings to coordinate work activity.
• Lead, train, and develop project team members.
• Submit monthly job status reports outlining priorities and issues.
• Close out projects, turnover manuals/warranties, and prepare final payment documents.
• Develop relationships with owners, engineers, and design firms.
• Monitor progress against the schedule and deadlines.
• Participate in proposals and presentations as requested.
• Drive safety culture on the project site.
• Support acquisition of new work through proposals and presentations.
• Provide leadership to foster inclusion and diversity.
• Identify and recruit top industry talent to join Clark.
• Exceed stakeholders' expectations by anticipating needs and goals.
