Job summary

Jackson & Blanc, Southern California’s leading mechanical systems specialist, is seeking a Project Manager for our Special Projects & Controls Division to lead planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution of complex projects to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.

In this role you will coordinate design and construction activities, manage subcontractors, monitor performance, and ensure safety compliance while delivering projects from kickoff to closeout in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
Minimum of five (5) years of field experience in mechanical services, HVAC systems, facility maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance activities preferred.
Minimum 5 years of project management experience in HVAC, Mechanical Construction, Building Controls, or related industries.
Strong understanding of construction scheduling, budgeting, and forecasting.
Experience managing projects ranging from $100,000 to $2,000,000+.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, PROCORE, Autodesk, and project management software.
OSHA 30 certification preferred.
Valid California Driver's License and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

Collaborate during project design and development phases and establish project execution plans and schedules.
Ensure project scope, objectives, deliverables, and contractual requirements are clearly defined, documented, and understood.
Verify the timely procurement and availability of all jobsite materials, equipment, permits, and subcontracted services.
Identify project risks and proactively develop mitigation strategies to minimize schedule, cost, or quality impacts.
Review all project documentation during turnover meetings to ensure a complete understanding of project requirements and assigned responsibilities.
Plan, assign, and manage labor, equipment, subcontractors, and other resources to achieve project profitability and timely completion while meeting or exceeding customer expectations.
