Job summary

Sundt Enterprise in Washington state seeks a seasoned Construction Project Leader to drive complex, heavy civil and highway programs. You will oversee safety, schedule, budget, quality and client relations, with responsibility for building and leading project teams across preconstruction and field execution.

The role requires 5–10 years of experience on medium to large projects, strong knowledge of contract documents and CPM scheduling, and a proven track record of delivering on-time, on-budget

Qualifications

• Four-year construction-related degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience.
• Experience in preconstruction and in managing construction projects.
• Thorough knowledge of contract documents, materials, equipment utilization, scheduling systems, productivity analysis, construction operations, and cash flow procedures.
• Proficient use of all Microsoft Office Suite programs

Responsibilities

• Has overall responsibility for project success, including profitability, safety, schedule, quality and customer satisfaction as well as responsibility for personnel decisions that impact the project.
• Establishes the project charter and a comprehensive project management plan (PMP)...
• Participates in the business development process including client contacts, relationships, proposals, presentations, and negotiations for selected projects.
• Responsible for understanding and administering prime contract terms and conditions, contract documents, subcontract agreements, purchase order agreements, insurance, etc.
• Participates in preparation and review of estimates with attention to cost control, equipment, formwork, materials, manpower, etc.
• Champions project transition from estimating phase to field; conducts review meetings.
• Coordinates with the Project Superintendent the means and methods for execution; monitors resources.
• Develops CPM schedule and coordinates with procurement; uses Lean scheduling.
• Prepares Monthly Progress Reports with accurate cost projections.
• Reviews, negotiates, and executes change orders and budgets.
• Manages billings and payments to maintain positive cash flow.
• Manages purchase orders/subcontracts with respect to insurance certificates and liens.
• Completes close-out and warranty callbacks timely.
