Job summary

NW Construction, based in Bozeman, MT, seeks a Project Manager to direct heavy civil construction projects across the Western United States. You will oversee all phases from planning to closeout, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery while coordinating with engineers, superintendents, and owners.

Candidates need a strong background in heavy civils, a Bachelor's degree, and 5+ years of PM experience, plus willingness to travel and relocate as projects require.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, construction management, or related field.
• 5+ years of construction and/or project management experience in heavy civil construction.
• Willingness to travel and relocate across the Western United States.
• 30-hour OSHA safety certification.
• Ability to read, interpret blueprints, drawings, and plans.
• Experience working with unionized workers or subcontractors.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the project meets financial objectives through oversight and cost control.
• Coordinate daily/weekly meetings with area superintendents and engineers.
• Direct field operations and sequence work with the Operations VP.
• Review estimates to determine costs, staffing, and resource needs.
• Oversee monthly cost updates and cash flow projections; manage change orders.
• Lead and develop the project management team; delegate responsibilities.
• Ensure safety, quality, and production standards are met.
• Close out projects with final paperwork and retainage handling.
