Barnard Construction Company, Inc., based in Bozeman, Montana, seeks a Project Manager for our Sacramento, CA project. The role leads a project team across disciplines, ensuring safety, budget, and schedule adherence while coordinating with clients and senior management.

The ideal candidate has extensive heavy civil construction experience, demonstrates strong organizational skills, and is willing to travel and relocate to project sites domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Construction Management or Business Administration (or equivalent construction-related experience).
• Must be willing to travel and relocate with domestic or international project sites.
• At least 10 years of heavy civil construction experience.
• Experience supervising multiple project engineers.
• Heavy civil construction background/experience.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Safety oriented; OSHA 10/30 certificates preferred.
• Strong work ethic; willing to do what it takes to get the job done.
• Ability to access all points of a construction site in varied climates and environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage and direct the project team with communication, coordination, and follow-up to meet project goals.
• Maintain ongoing training and mentoring of the project team.
• Directly report to senior management on project status and issues.
• Provide ongoing project information and reviews as required by management.
• Coordinate training and compliance measures to ensure procedures are followed.
• Ensure scope, schedule, and budget are defined and understood by all stakeholders.
• Determine and maintain overall project and discipline schedules and budgets.
• Track schedule and budget progress against milestones and take corrective actions.
• Identify and secure approvals for changes in scope, budget, or schedule.
• Maintain client communication and adjust plans to meet client and Barnard's needs.
