Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Top Tier Project Manager / Estimator for a carpentry and demolition subcontractor. The role combines estimating accuracy with proactive project management across diverse commercial builds, including schools, retail, and government work.

The successful candidate will review drawings, develop budgets, manage multiple bids, and lead meetings with field teams, subs, and clients, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CM, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years in construction estimating or project management.
• Ability to read construction drawings and specs.
• Understanding of building systems, methods, and sequencing.
• Proficient with estimating software, project management tools, and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed takeoffs and prepare accurate cost estimates for demolition and carpentry scopes.
• Review drawings, specs, and bid documents to understand project scope.
• Conduct site visits to validate conditions and identify risks.
• Develop proposals, budgets, and VE options for clients.
• Maintain historical cost data to improve estimating accuracy.
• Manage multiple bids in a fast-paced environment.
• Oversee projects from preconstruction through completion, on time and on budget.
• Review contracts, schedules, and procurement needs.
• Coordinate with superintendents, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Lead project meetings and provide progress updates.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings while maintaining safety and quality.
