Job summary

Fairchild Communication Systems, Inc. in South Bend, Indiana, is seeking a proactive Project Manager to lead cable and communication system installations from turnover to completion.

You will coordinate customers, internal teams, and subcontractors, manage scheduling, materials, invoicing, and contract requirements, and strive to improve project profitability. The role demands strong communication, organization, and leadership to guide a team of technicians, ensure safety, and deliver projects

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in installations and/or management of low voltage systems.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent technical training with one year of electrical estimating experience; or five years of electrical trade experience with one year of electrical estimating experience.
• Five years of electrical trade experience and one year of electrical estimating experience; or a combination deemed appropriate by management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be responsible, self-motivated, self-starter, personable and well organized.

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes, and staffs projects to ensure profitability, timeliness, and customer satisfaction.
• Processes project paperwork and ensures timely billing.
• Coordinates procurement of materials and delivery to job site.
• Leads and supervises technicians, conducts performance reviews.
• Identifies and develops new business and maintains customer relationships.
• Monitors labor and material requirements and project costs.
• Attends weekly/monthly meetings and ensures safe progress at jobsites.
