Job summary

Fairchild Communication Systems, Inc. in South Bend is seeking a Full-time System Technician to join our hands-on team. You will install, repair and maintain telecom, fire alarm, nurse call, security, sound systems and more, at our South Bend location.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of installation and/or service experience.
• Proficient in telecom installation and system integration.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must pass background and driving checks.
• Familiarity with Notifier, Silent Knight, Keri, PDK, Bogen, Hanwha, Vista, Panduit, Ascom, Biamp, Crown, Extron, Axis is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair and maintain a variety of technology systems, including telecom, fire alarm, nurse call, security/intrusion, sound systems and more.
• Maintain clear and timely communication with Project Manager and Project Administrator
• Provide accurate records of time, tasks and project status on a daily basis
• Read and interpret blueprints and other project documents
• Adhere to industry quality and safety standards and regulations
