Job summary

InSite Engineering in New Jersey seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead civil engineering, surveying, and planning projects. You will coordinate clients, project teams, and firm leadership to ensure scope, schedule, and budget success from initial planning through completion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Surveying, Planning, or related field.
• 6+ years of project management experience with client relationships.
• Professional license (PE/PLS/Planner) preferred.
• Strong communication, leadership, and client facing skills.
• Experience supervising staff and managing budgets.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple concurrent projects from planning through completion.
• Establish project schedules, budgets, and staffing with leadership.
• Coordinate resources across project managers and staff to meet deadlines.
• Delegate tasks, monitor progress, and provide direction to teams.
• Mentor and develop Assistant Project Managers and staff.
• Liaise with senior leadership, management, and production teams for effective execution.
• Identify challenges and develop solutions to keep projects on track.
• Participate in leadership meetings to improve delivery and operations.
• Serve as primary client contact and manage day-to-day relationships.
• Coordinate with clients, attorneys, contractors, consultants, municipalities, and stakeholders.
• Communicate project status, schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
• Prepare proposals, scopes of work, and client communications.
• Respond to questions promptly and professionally, escalating when needed.
• Build long-term relationships and act as trusted advisor throughout projects.
• Maintain professional representation of InSite in all interactions.
• Assist with initial scoping, proposals, and job costing while monitoring budgets.
