Job summary

InSite Engineering is a multidisciplinary firm delivering civil engineering, surveying, planning, environmental permitting, and landscape architecture across New Jersey. As a Senior Design Engineer, you will lead the technical design and execution of land development projects, mentor junior staff, and coordinate with clients and regulatory agencies to ensure quality and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (ABET/accredited) required or equivalent.
5+ years of civil engineering experience focused on land development design.
Professional Engineer (PE) license or actively pursuing licensure.

Responsibilities

Lead the technical design and development of residential, commercial, industrial, institutional, and mixed-use land development projects.
Prepare and oversee grading, drainage, utility, roadway, stormwater management, and erosion control designs.
Develop and review engineering plans, specifications, calculations, and construction documents using Civil 3D and AutoCAD.
Coordinate project design with clients, architects, attorneys, surveyors, contractors, and other consultants.
Prepare technical reports, permit applications, analyses, and supporting documentation for regulatory approvals.
Mentor junior engineers and support project Managers with scheduling and budgeting.
