Job summary

Blue Moon Metals is seeking a motivated Project Geologist to lead mineral exploration programs from target generation to resource delineation. You will oversee daily field activities, manage geological data, interpret results, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to advance projects safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geology, Geological Engineering, or related Earth Science discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of mineral exploration experience.
• Experience with precious or base metal exploration.
• Strong understanding of structural geology, ore deposit models, and exploration methodologies.
• Experience managing diamond drill programs.
• Proficiency with Leapfrog, ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar platforms.
• Experience using MX Deposit, acQuire, or similar databases.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to remote exploration sites.

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and execute mineral exploration programs including drilling, mapping, sampling, and target evaluation.
• Oversee drill programs, including planning, contractor coordination, core logging, and data QA/QC.
• Interpret geological, geochemical, and geophysical data to identify targets.
• Maintain and QA/QC geological databases and support data management.
• Develop cross-sections, maps, models, and technical reports for decision making.
• Monitor budgets, timelines, and contractor performance.
• Prepare presentations and reports for senior management.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with contractors, landowners, agencies, and communities; support permitting as required.
• Travel extensively to remote field sites and work in challenging conditions.
