Job summary
Nucor Insulated Panel Group (NIPG) is seeking a Project Engineer III to coordinate projects and drive ideas from concept to market. You will work with the R&D Supervisor and engineers to design, test, and validate sandwich panel concepts, ensuring alignment with enterprise goals and budgets.
Strong communication and teamwork are essential. The role demands 5+ years in panel design and related engineering disciplines, with a focus on safety, schedules, and collaboration with Product Managers,
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial sandwich panel design.
- Minimum 5 years of engineering experience in commercial construction.
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Materials Engineering required.
- Experience with building codes and material design specifications.
Responsibilities
- Lead research, design development, and testing to bring ideas to market.
- Collaborate with Engineering Lab Technicians and cross-functional teams.
- Report progress and challenges to schedule, design, or budget.
