Job summary

FORMULATRIX in Bedford, MA seeks a Lead Project Engineer to direct robotic liquid-handling programs across R&D, production, and customer support. You will coordinate mechanical, electrical, and software sub-projects and drive business growth of the product line.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong communication, and travel to customer sites and FORMULATRIX offices worldwide to align with customer needs and timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is required.
• Minimum 3 years in product management or product-line oversight (R&D or Applications) required.
• Interdisciplinary engineering experience with robotics is a plus but not required.
• Strong leadership and communication skills are essential.
• Travel to customer sites and FORMULATRIX offices worldwide is expected (10–15%).

Responsibilities

• Direct a robotic liquid-handling program spanning engineering R&D, production, support, sales, and marketing.
• Coordinate multiple sub-projects across mechanical, electrical, and software disciplines.
• Grow the product line from a market and business perspective.
• Collaborate with directors, global teams, and customers to ensure the product meets evolving needs.
