Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Lead Project Engineer for the NGJ program in Salt Lake City, UT. You will oversee full lifecycle engineering support for software and hardware development, assembly, integration and test activities, and lead a cross-disciplinary team to meet customer requirements.

The role requires strong EVMS/earned value experience, a background in aerospace testing, and the ability to coordinate across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor’s Degree and 9+ years in related field or Graduate Degree with 7+ years
• Experience with Earned Value management and EVMS or equivalent
• Experience managing multi-discipline programs across locations
• Background in flight tests, environmental testing, and aerospace engineering
• Strong ability to manage labor resources in matrix organizations
• Experience with risk/mopportunity management and supplier management
• PMP or PMI credentials are a plus
• Security clearance required

Responsibilities

• Lead a project team to meet customer requirements within cost and schedule
• Develop and coordinate cost, schedule, and technical aspects per Program guidelines
• Review project status, budgets, and drive execution to milestones
• Assess issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity and quality goals
• Identify, track, mitigate risks and opportunities at the program level
• Estimate resources and material needs for the project/product
• Coordinate between resource managers and ensure necessary reviews/approvals
• Use Earned Value indicators on a DCMA-surveilled program
• Collaborate in small teams on quick-reaction projects with customer contact
